Wanneer de 'bubble' op het punt staat te verschijnen in een toernooi, schakelt het evenement over naar de 'hand voor hand'-modus, dit betekent dat een nieuwe hand pas begint als alle resterende tafels in het evenement de huidige hand hebben voltooid. In dit scenario bepaalt het tijdstip van eliminatie niet de eindvolgorde van de spelers, maar het aantal fiches waarmee elke speler die hand begon, is de beslissende factor. De geëlimineerde speler met de grootste stack aan het begin van de hand wordt het hoogst geplaatst.

Verdere plaatsen worden ook via deze manier bepaald, waarbij de speler met de kleinste startstapel als laatste geplaatst wordt van de geëlimineerde spelers.

When the 'bubble' is about to occur in a tournament then event will switch to 'hand for hand' mode, this means that a new hand will not begin until all tables left in the event have completed the current hand. In this scenario the time of elimination will not determine the finishing order of players, however the amount of chips each player started that hand with will be the deciding factor. With the eliminated player with the largest stack at the start of the hand being placed highest.

Further places will also be decided via this method with the player with the smallest starting stack being places last out of the eliminated players.
